We kicked off the new year with a life-saving cesarean section at Miracle Birthing Center, the opening of our new primary school at our Pearl Village campus, and by having a visit from our Co-Founders, Brittany Stokes & Christina Yarid, in Uganda, Africa!

We are absolutely determined to see the cycle of poverty broken in our local villages -- so everyone can have access to education, medical care, dignity, shelter, and hope.

In the midst of the pandemic, we served while ensuring Project Orphan's mission to raise a generation of advocates that believe injustice does not have breath in their community was still in focus! Onward into 2021 we serve.

According to UNICEF, it is estimated that the number of young girls who marry before the age of 18 exceeds 46%. In Uganda, consequences are grave, especially for very young girls. Only one birth in five is officially recorded - and more often than not, girls don't have birth certificates or identification. This means when a young girl is sold into marriage or raped before the age of 18 - our organization and the police cannot bring charges against the abuser.
