The Mission.

Project Orphans exists to provide orphan care to children around the world to receive the opportunity to be raised in a nurturing environment, obtain a proper education, learn trade skills, and receive healthcare.

Project Orphans is about ensuring that the children we serve are in an environment that empowers and builds them up to reach their God given potential. We believe that every life matters and our passion is for these children to follow their heart and run after their passion and dreams, with a purpose that outlives their life.

We are excited to be opening doors of education for the most amazing children in Uganda. Right now, thousands of children don't have the opportunity to attend school. They can't read or write. They are living to survive.

Below is Sophia's story. She is just one of the many - wishing and dreaming about the opportunity to go to school! We hope you watch her video with an open heart and grasp that even though you are world's apart you can can make an everlasting difference in her life!

100% of your $30 monthly sponsorship  goes toward the care of your sponsored child living in a Project Orphans home! You also have the opportunity to sponsor a student to attend school in Uganda for $25 per month.

100%. How is that possible?

We have donors who are so committed to the mission of Project Orphans, they give towards building projects & other operating costs.

You’re not just sending money, you’re raising a child! By writing letters to your child, you can follow their life, learn about their dreams, and share your own. You can even meet your sponsored child when you sign-up to travel with us on a trip! As a sponsor, you are now part of their future!

Sponsoring a child is a life-changing experience that you will treasure forever.

The Beginning of Project Orphans

In Spring of 2007, Brittany and Christina met while studying at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Over the years they became close friends, and college roommates, and built a friendship which they shared their faith and hearts with each other. After graduation both went their separate ways, as Brittany pursued her career in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Christina in Atlanta, Georgia; not knowing that one day God would make a way to bring them back together, to help with furthering His Kingdom. In October 2012, God sparked a desire to inspire one another to pursue the dreams in their hearts. ORPHANS.

In October 2012, they established a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization called Project Orphans. Their hearts behind Project Orphans are ones that are pure, they believe strongly that God has called them to live a full life, and in doing so, giving is a major part. God is clear throughout His word, what His feelings are on caring for orphans. James 1:27 says, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress.” All God needs to accomplish His purpose on earth, are human vessels willing to step out.

Project Orphans was founded to be an organization that builds dreams and restores lives. We will not build orphan communities on our own; we will walk alongside the local church and community to help them meet their own needs, build their own dreams, and empower them to stop the cycle of poverty. We will take risks and risk it all for God’s glory to be known - world changers are first and foremost, risk takers and big dreamers.
